The perfect solution for extending pre existing holes into the next stacked material.
The Special Titanium twist drill is used in One-Shot drilling processes to extend an existing hole from a particular A to another particular B. Thanks to the special tip and helix geometry the drilling takes place on the blank material without causing damage to the pre-existing hole (scratches, over-size, etc.).
The geometry of the helix preserves the existing hole and acts as a guide for drilling and extending the hole into the underlying part (detail B).
The particular tip geometry makes this tool suitable for drilling both composite materials and titanium and/or light alloy and guarantees excellent Tool Life.
With HTT Special Titanium operations are reduced in one single step, with the advantage of considerably reducing processing times.
By drastically reducing the amount of different tool codes used for these applications, the cost of tool management is reduced.
